Car Directions
To drive to Kansas City Airport please follow the directions listed below:
From the North
From the I-29 South take exit number 13 and then follow the relevant signs for your terminal.
From the South
From the US-71 North/I-29 North take exit number and follow the relevant signs for your terminal.
From the East
From the I-71 North, take exit number 2G (for I-29 North/St Joseph/Des Moines) and then exit number 13 to KCI.
From the West
Take the I-70 East and after merging onto the I-670 East/I-70 ALT. East merge again onto US-71 North by taking the left exit (number 2N towards St. Jospeh/Des Moines). Then take exit number 13 to KCI.
Airport Shuttles
Red Bus
Kansas City International offers a complimentary service between the Circle parking lots and the three terminals. The stops are outside each terminal building and are signposted “Red Inter-Terminal Connection.”
Blue Bus
This complimentary service takes passengers to and from the economy parking lots and Terminals A,B and C. The Blue Buses stop at the Blue overhead signs located outside each terminal building.
Metro Service
Only available from Monday – Friday the Metro bus is a service between KCI and various destinations in Kansas City. Please check beforehand on the times from your stop.
Taxi
Taxis at Kansas City International Airport can be requested by using any of the phones present in the terminal buildings. The Airport Police officers can order a cab when there are none in the rank.
Phones for taxi service are located both inside and outside the terminal at each bag claim area and at other strategic locations outside the terminal exits. Make sure that you give the dispatcher your exact location.
