Getting to Kansas City Airport
Driving Directions
Kansas City International Airport is located close to two major highways: I-29 and I-435. I-435 functions as a ring road for Kansas City and connects with I-35. Another road connected to I-35, I-635, also passes near the airport. These two highways are useful for travelers going to and from points in Kansas, Missouri and other states.
From Kansas City Center
Proceed towards Broadway Boulevard, which becomes Broadway Street, then turns into Broadway Bridge. From the bridge take US 169 for just over four miles. Take I-29 North / US 71 North direction Kansas City International Airport / St Joseph for approximately ten miles. Take exit 13, the Kansas City International Airport exit. Follow the signs, passing along LP Cookingham Drive, to the airport terminals.
From the Northwest
Go south on I-29. Take exit 13, the Kansas City International airport exit.
From the Northeast
Go south on I-35, then, as you approach Kansas City, take the I-29 in a northwesterly direction. Leave the highway at exit 13, for the airport.
From the South
From Oklahoma City drive north on I-35. When the road splits near Wichita, take the Kansas City fork, I-335.
From the East
I-70 is the main route into Kansas City from the east.
From the West
I-70 is the main route into Kansas City from the west.
